movement studies

Intentional movement heals

Ever since I can remember I’ve been deeply attuned to movement — through non-verbal communication with my horses and our working cattle dogs, as a dancer, and later as a yoga instructor.

While I work hard to honor the traditional roots of yoga when I practice (solo or as a teacher), my work aims for physical and mental rehabilitation.

I’ve seen healing in my own body through mindful movement — from physical injuries such as repetitive ankle ligament tears to holistic healing from an auto-immune condition to emotional healing from life’s traumas.

It’s an honor to share this journey with others and help them on their path toward healing. My research at CU Boulder is on how movement can help individuals recover from neurological conditions. As a practitioner, I teach private and group classes for individuals with needs across a vast spectrum.

Feel free to get in touch if you’re looking for an instructor!

My work aims to put inclusivity first - all students are welcome and encouraged to attend my classes. I'm continually learning and evolving my style to honor traditional roots of Yoga and cultivate an authentic practice to bring to my students.

I emphasize alignment and always offer many variations so that each student may find an asana that aligns with their body at that moment. My classes build on a simple movement or theme, with elements rooted in dance, and evolve to peak posture or sequence. Classes include elements of meditation and pranayama practice to complement physical practice.

all bodies are welcome, always.
